The CTSR Power Tong features operator contolled torque adjustments at the tool, a direct-reading torque gauge, tandem control locations and a gear-type hydraulic drive. The upper and lower gear cases are constructed of high strength flat plate with replaceable bearing housings. Frame tie bolts utilize a "thru-bolt" design to eliminate threads in the gear case members and this, combined with the all gear-driven mechanism, results in a very compact and extremely rugged tool.
